Operations Engineer (m/f/d)
As an Operations Engineer at Smart Pricer, you will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and reliability of our production systems and microservice infrastructure. You’ll work with technologies like Kubernetes (GKE) and other Google Cloud services to ensure our next-generation pricing solutions are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Through continuous collaboration with Data, DevOps, and Product teams, you’ll deliver reliable, secure, and efficient features that revolutionize pricing for ski lifts, sports, and event industries.
YOUR BACKGROUND & IMPACT:
Kubernetes:
You have significant experience (3+ years) working with Kubernetes, preferably GKE.
Network Architecture:
You have some experience in designing network architectures in the cloud, preferably the Google Cloud. You are familiar with VPC, DNS, NAT, LB, Firewall, and Routing.
Infrastructure as Code:
You have some experience with using Terraform and will take ownership of the Terraform code projects, including Hashicorp Vault and zero-knowledge service authentication.
Monitoring and Alerting:
You will help the development team to setup and maintain monitoring and alerting and organize the on-call service.
Tool Development:
You are willing to write and maintain tooling (mostly) written in Go. You will be adding features to our Admin Service to support the backend admin UX for your and other teams.
Linux:
You have solid experience working with Linux server machines (Ubuntu, Alpine containers). You are also willing to support the maintenance of some Windows machines and our ESET console.
Administration:
You will manage administrative processes like user management, cost controlling, our Office smart home system, laptop procurement, and other office hardware.
Tech Stack:
Our technology stack includes several MySQL servers, Couchbase Capella, Redis/KeyDB instances, LavinMQ/RabbitMQ, Google Cloud Storage, Kubernetes (GKE), Traefik, Hashicorp Consul + Vault, and more all running in the Google Cloud.
